Sailor Babo’s Got Something Serious…

The Missouri Botanical Garden is the perfect place for dreamy springtime fuzzies (springtime fuzzies are good for spring fever).

Dreams of Springtime Fuzzies

And plants that look like Q Tips (plants that look like Q Tips are good for spring fever).

Q Tip Plant

But Sailor Babo needs something more.  His is no ordinary case of spring fever.

“I Need Something More…”

Could it possibly be something serious??

Seriously Serious

No doubt about it….

“Just call me Tarzan”

  1. We have tropical plants growing outside in California, but they don’t look as nice as the ones Sailor Babo and you are admiring. But does Sailor Babo have a Sailor Jane around there? Or a Cheetah? I’d bet Sailor Babo would love hanging out with monkeys!

    Lovely photos!

    • LBeeeze says:

The tropical plants at the Missouri Botanical Garden get lots and lots of extra special loving care. I didn’t see a Jane or a Cheetah, but I bet I missed them. Sailor Babo with monkeys….now that would be a treat.

      Hehehehehehe….thank you very, very much!!!

  2. Lauri says:

    Whoa! Q-tip plants!!!

Love the pics. Time to start dreaming of spring, while we are under a blizzard warning for the next 24 hours!

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the Babo sleeps tonight…..ooooooo….

Cool plants LB! Sailor Babo really knows how to pick ’em!

  4. LOL I totally understand sailor Babo. It’s been cold and winter long enough now. Need warmth. Urgently. I can do 5-10 C. No need for more yet.

    Tarzan Babo.

in the garden, the botanic garden, the Babo swings today…

I suppose it beats cabin fever! 😉 He looks like he is enjoying himself. I hope you did too.

    • LBeeeze says:

It’s hard to have cabin fever in a gigantic green house. It was a really chilly day, so a short jungle journey was nice for all involved.

      Thank you so much!!!!

  7. Nice place ^.^ Love the photos especially the last one 😛 So cute!!

  8. Aussie Emjay says:

LOL – shouldn’t he have a loin cloth and a Jane? 🙂 What is the fuzzy plant? I want one!

    • LBeeeze says:

I bet he’d love a Jane. I know he’d look smashing in a loin cloth!!

The fuzzy plant was actually a small tree, but I didn’t notice what it was called. It really caught my eye because there really weren’t a lot of blooms. The Climatron and the other green house at the Missouri Botanical Garden aren’t nearly as warm as the butterfly house.

      Thank you very, very much!!!

  9. i always wondered where Q-tips came from

  10. Jaypo says:

Sailor Babo keeps an eye out for his ship from the tree tops!

  11. doranyc says:

*gasp* Oh how i LOVE the botanical gardens there!! Yay!!

    • LBeeeze says:

Oh, me too!!! I thought there might be a lot more blooms, but the Climatron and the other greenhouse aren’t nearly as warm as the Butterfly House. The Butterfly House was full of blooms and lively butterflies. It was such a treat in the middle of this long winter.

      Thank you so, so much!!!!!

  12. geologywoman says:

That is such a q tip plant! The kind you buy in the baby section. They have the pink stems.

  13. homebody says:

Oh, I love the fuzzies! And Sailor Babo looks so thoughtful and comfortable in the botanical setting!

  14. Linda Radsick says:
