Nothing….Look Below for a Tornado Update

Nothing in this lemon tea impresses the senses.

Unimpressed

Have you ever seen a lemon wiggle ??  I think not.

Yikers !!!  I just learned from the local news that an F1 tornado touched down less than 2 miles from my home.  This happened last Friday, on New Years Eve.  Wow.  No damage in my neighborhood.  An F3 touched down about 8 miles from here.  That one really did some major damage.  We were very lucky.  Breathing a sigh of relief.

  1. Such a piggy kitty ^.^ Lemon tea is so refreshing, Kitty should try it 😛

  2. Maybe it’s a goldfish, not a lemon.

My kitties don’t like lemon either, but they don’t look quite so Disapproving.

I’m so glad you’re safe and sound!

Looks like kitty would prefer mousie tea.

  5. You JUST LEARNED about the tornado? You really must have been passed out sick.

    • LBeeeze says:

The tornado sirens went off several times, but other than some really hard rain and some very brief high winds, nothing happened here. The local news was all about the F3, 8 miles from here. They didn’t even report the F1 (2 miles away) or even the damage until much, much later. That’s why I didn’t know about it.

      Thanks lots for stopping in.

Oh wow, two miles?! Tornados are cool from a distance…during the day. The thought of one touching down at night is downright scary!
Keep staying out of the way of any other storms

It happened on New Years Eve morning, so thankfully it was daylight. The local news reported the major damage caused by the F3 about 8 miles from here but didn’t report the F1 until much later, so I didn’t even know it had happened.

      Thanks lots and lots!!!

Dang! I’ve been concerned for a few of us Voxers lately… GOF, GOM, and now apparently, you, too, live in tornado country! Yikes. Glad to hear you missed it.

  8. You said nothing in your initial post about a tornado! Yikes!

When I was living in Minnesota, the Weather Service put out ads telling us to get a weather alert radio and keep it on at night in the bedroom. The thing lets out a screech that’ll wake the dead and announces when a tornado is heading in your direction. You might wanna get one of those….we don’t want you and your husband sucked up and taken to Oz!

The local news went on and on about the F3 that did major damage about 8 miles from here, but didn’t even report the F1 that came down 2 miles away until much, much later. That’s why I didn’t know anything about it until Sunday evening. Weird, huh??!!

We knew the night before that the storms were coming, so we weren’t taken by surprise. We have one of those weather radios that used to belong to my husband’s father. We didn’t think to turn it on until all the excitement was over with.

      Thanks so much!!

Now would be a good time to tell us that you have a basement!
Meanwhile, Sir Sourpuss needs milk in his tea!

    • LBeeeze says:

Thankfully, we do have a basement. We made several trips. I had no idea it was that bad. For a long time nothing happend, not even much rain. We had a hard rain for just a few minutes and probably less than a minute of high winds. Phew….we were lucky.

      Thanks very much!!!

Crikey…you need some lemon tea after that scare. Of course with a shot of whisky in it. Glad it passed you by!

  11. This kitty disapproves of Lemon tea and tornados… So glad you are okay!

I’m glad I don’t live anywhere that I have to listen out for tornado warnings!!
