I could be snarky and ask why their faces are hidden by the tree: but as my mother used to say, “All brides are beautiful on their wedding day, all grooms handsome.”
Oh, I’m so glad you didn’t ask!! They were standing out in front of the tree just moments before, but the white balance of that photo was way off. I wanted to get another shot because they were such an elegant couple, but they moved behind the tree. I saw that their heads were hidden and thought it would make an ironic shot…and there it be.

Looks like a beautiful location for wedding shots. It always makes me smile to see couples having their wedding photos taken.
The building in the background is the St. Louis Art Museum. It’s an incredibly beautiful building. It’s quite common in St. Louis for couples and the wedding party to ride around in one of those huge coaches and stop for photographs at iconic locations. On some days this summer I’m sure we saw at least 10 wedding parties. Yay for love!!!
