City Safari…

Saturday was one of those wonderful blue-sky days, a perfect day for a city safari.  Lions and Bunnies and Bears, oh my!!

Justice Bear, somberly watching from the Court House steps…

Then there were White Rabbits in Citygarden Park…

The smaller bunny was really quite chatty…

We also sighted a wild and ferociously painted lion…

And lots of exciting scenes…

Of pure joy.

Your photos are so good. What a gifted eye you have. And your captions, well, …. delightful, ingenius, perfect, etc., etc.

I love these photos – amazing stories behind them too. Essence of summer, right?

Thank you very much!!! The bottom one if my fave too. It was so much fun watching the kids (and adults) walk and run through the water. The park just opened a couple weeks ago when the All Star Game was in town.

Thank you so very much!! You are so kind!! I actually made a mistake on Justice Bear. He's sitting on the steps of the Kiel Opera House. One of the Court Houses is immediately behind him. The dome of the Thomas F. Eagleton Federal Courthouse is over his left shoulder.

You got it!!! All about enjoying the best that summer has to offer. It was such a great day too….very cool by St. Louis standards.

The bunnies captivated me too!!! There's all sorts of art and sculptures, but the bunnies won my heart right away. I especially love the smaller one. The photographer crouched down in front of the little one asked me to photograph her whispering in the ear of the bigger bunny with the smaller bunny in the background. To me it so looks like the smaller one is talking to her.

Love, love, love those bunnies. WOnder if we could get them here at the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City… That would be awesome…

I didn't know you were in Kansas City!! I definitely want to take a trip out your way to visit the Art Museum there. I've heard it's really great.

Unfortunately, I don't get out that way much, used to go and visit my Brother at the zoo, no joke either. He worked in the Bird exhibits. Now he's up in the Brookfield Zoo over the Reptile and Bird houses. Big job!
I just got done signing my life away so that my birthday girl daughter can attend the Kansas City Art Institute. I told her that today, instead of buying her a house, I bought her a career. Don't lose it. LOL

I'm sure she will very much appreciate your contribution toward her future accomplishments!!
